{soft}: My week started with no idea of what to pick for the theme. I even reached out to Angie and asked if she had an idea and while I waited for her reply, I picked up a long stem of grass that one of my children had picked on a walk. It was soft at the end and, as I felt the texture of it, I knew the answer to my question. My idea for the theme developed when I found some fresh raspberries and blackberries. The rest of props were added as I walked the aisle of the supermarket; mini meringues, cream, and rose petals. As I created my set-up of the props, I realized I wanted a soft focus and a soft light to top it off. And that is what I created.
Family photography in Sydney: 30 minutes in the life-November2015
It is getting hot. Summer is here a bit earlier this year. We are already seeing temperatures above 40C (104F) and that is “HOT!” in November. We don’t normally see these temperatures until February and so the pool has been our favourite way to cool down. We have delayed dinner a bit to enjoy a swim just as the sun goes down. On this day, I took along my daughters’ under water camera. She got it last year and I am amazed at the quality of the images. I asked if I could play with her camera and it was so much fun. We had such a ball playing and messing around. And because I wasn’t trying to be a photographer, just a Mum with a camera, I felt a joy. A joy that has been missing from my photography for a while. It was a beautiful reminder why I picked up the camera and why I want to document my family’s story.

Sydney Lifestyle Photographer: EEK! Blow Out the Candles
It is my birthday next week. I am happy to celebrate another year of life. It is also the 6th anniversary of my photography journey. Yes, there are lots of reasons to celebrate. I wanted to include you in my celebrations, so I am having a never to be repeated sale. The savings are not random as they are numbers that are significant in my life.
That is right! These are significant savings to you and the sale lasts from 19th of November until the 5th of December. You have six months to schedule the session, and you only need a $100 retainer fee to secure these savings. Seriously, I must be going a tad crazy.
The full details of each package can be found on my pricing guide here. It outlines the types of sessions and the details for each package. You will see that you get to save a massive $575 from “The Whole Cake” Package. If scheduling a portrait session in 2016 is on your to do list, now is your chance.

{seasonal} This week, we thought we would capture the seasons. Angie and I live on opposite sides of the world, and in our every day we enjoy very different climates. We thought it would be fun to see exactly how different they are. I think you will see there is a very different feel to our images this week. I love that.
