Cake smash: fotógrafa em São José dos Campos

Braxton is 1! Hip, Hip Hooray! And what a better way to capture this precious moment than with a cake smash. It is messy and so much fun!

Melissa, Braxton’s Mum, was in love with the idea, and we exchanged emails to work out details. We  asked our friend, Dianne, if she could help with the cake. Dianne is the owner of Cakes&Pops, and you can check out her work on her FB page here.

We meet at a local park, allowing for total possible mess! However, Braxton was shy and hesitant. He wanted his Mum to stay right next him, and if she moved, then tears followed. It was not the messy experience we had been expecting. We decided to help him, and broke up the cake with a pinecone.

Eventually, Braxton started to relax and tentatively started to play with cake. Little by little he smashed the cake. He was a mess in the end with cake and blue icing in his hands and his toes.

Melissa was such a trooper. She sat next to Braxton and gave him hugs of encouragement to keep him happy. With each hug and cuddle, her white shirt had colourful icing smudged all over it. She laughed about her wardrobe choice for the photo session and saw the funny side of the mess.
